Postdoctoral fellowship 2026-2027
Length of Program: 12 month postdoctoral fellowship beginning in the summer or fall of 2026
Compensation: Competitive fee for service compensation. Estimated total compensation between $115,000-$198,000 based on monthly service volume.
New York City Anxiety and OCD (NYCAO) is accepting applications for a postdoctoral fellow interested in specializing in the treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders in children and adolescents.

Position Summary
The postdoctoral fellowship at NYCAO offers specialized training in exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety disorders in children and adolescents. Postdoctoral fellows will receive intensive training in ERP for OCD and in Coping Cat/CAT Project for child and adolescent anxiety disorders. Postdoctoral fellows will also conduct diagnostic interviews to establish DSM-5 diagnoses, create treatment plans and coordinate with a multidisciplinary treatment team. Postdoctoral fellows may have the opportunity to facilitate exposure and support groups. Postdoctoral fellows will be invited to participate in program development to the extent that they wish.
Candidates must have a PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program and have completed an APA-accredited internship. Candidates must have a doctorate and NY State Permit by the start date. Strong candidates will have a solid foundation in evidence-based treatment and clinical experience with OCD and anxiety disorders as well as child and adolescent populations.
Qualifications

PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology

Experience implementing evidence based interventions (CBT, DBT, ACT and/or ERP)

Experience providing treatment to children and adolescents

Experience treating OCD and/or anxiety disorders is preferred
