CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) examines how thoughts, feelings and behaviors are connected and impact one another. CBT targets negative automatic thoughts and unhelpful behaviors through a variety of techniques to improve an individual's emotional experience of the world.

ERP

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) involves gradual exposure to situations and thoughts that cause distress while resisting engaging in compulsions. In ERP treatment, individuals learn that compulsions do not actually prevent feared consequences, that the associated distress does not last forever and that they can handle the experience.

ACT

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is designed to help clients build clarity around their values, develop goals in line with these values and design a path with achievable steps to reach them. Treatment is focused on using various techniques to help clients live with their values in the face of difficult thoughts and feelings rather than getting rid of them.
