OPPORTUNITIES AT NYCAO

​​The postdoctoral fellowship at NYCAO offers specialized training in exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety disorders across the lifespan. Postdoctoral fellows can be part time or full time and can specify the number of child, adolescent or adult cases they take. Postdoctoral fellows will receive intensive training in Coping Cat for child and adolescent anxiety and in ERP for OCD in children and adolescents.  Postdoctoral fellows will also receive intensive training in implementing CBT, ERP and ACT across a range of presentations of OCD and anxiety disorders in adults.  Postdoctoral fellows may have the opportunity to facilitate exposure and support groups.  Postdoctoral fellows will be invited to participate in program development to the extent that they wish. In addition to rigorous clinical training in gold standard evidence based treatment for OCD and anxiety disorders this fellowship offers an opportunity to learn about independent practice program development. Postdoctoral fellows will receive a competitive fee for service salary. 

 

Candidates must have a PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program and have completed an APA-accredited internship. Candidates must have a doctorate and NY State Permit by the start date. Strong candidates will have a solid foundation in evidence-based treatment and clinical experience with OCD and anxiety disorders. ​
